Gina St. Aubin

Gina St. Aubin has her B.A. in Psychology and is a former Victim’s Advocate in Colorado where she currently resides with her husband and three young children. She is a mother, wife, blogger, and writer.

Since her eldest son was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 9 months, her family has been on an arduous journey of sifting through specialists, pushing for answers of the unexplainable.  Beyond Cerebral Palsy, her son is diagnosed with Autism, Landau-Kleffner Syndrome (a rare epileptic disorder causing verbal aphasia), Sensory Processing Disorder and Developmental Delays.

While advocating for those with intellectual and physical challenges, Gina candidly explores the challenge in finding a balance between parenthood and self, while exploring the intricacies of moving forward. Sharing resources, articles and information, ideas and emotions surrounding all areas of raising a child with special needs can be found in her blog, Special Happens.

Though much of Gina St. Aubin’s writings reflect upon experiences as a parent of a special needs child, she continues to draw upon a number of personal and professional experiences, giving a well-rounded view in all that she writes..
